Hey NUAMES Nighthawks and Families! We are on week 2 of online school and you are doing great! Don't forget to take time to stay Physically active during this time. Even though we are practicing "Social Distancing" there are so many things that we can do in our homes, and outside and in nature to keep our bodies and minds healthy and safe. Taking at least 30-60 minutes a day to be physically active, releases the Happy Hormones (Endorphins, Dopamine, Serotonin) in your body that not only boosts our physical wellness but supports our mental health so we can manage stress, anxiety and keep our immune systems strong. Check out these resources to help you stay physically and mentally fit this week. Together we can do this! :)

I like your therapy tips. I need someone to help me with my anxiety. I'll have to call a therapist.

It really helped that you said that 30-60 minutes of physical activities could help with your mental health. My cousin told me the other day about having a mental health consultation because of depression and past traumas, and he asked if I had any idea what would be the best option to do. Thank you for the information, I'll be sure to tell him that it will be much better if he consults a trusted psychologist service as they can help him with his concerns.

I've been having a hard time with my mental state, and I'm not sure what to do. It makes sense that I could benefit from seeing a counselor. They would be able to ensure that I have the right methods to handle things.

It's interesting to know that connecting on social media would help as long as it would be fun. Hopefully, my sister can find a professional who has finished a mental health online training course to ensure that she gets the best advice. She just needs the right method to help her feel happy after the effects of the toxic relationship she had for four years.
